change.gov gets Creative Commons license

Barack Obama’s transitional website, change.gov, just change it’s website licensing to a Creative Commons Attribution v3 license from the previous “All rights reserved.”

Hopefully this means we have someone who will advocate for the rest of us who believe content should be free and shared for the bettering of us all.

He should be placing these works into the public domain and getting himself used to when these works are government-made and ineligible for copyright (I’m assuming they’re not government-made now which may be an invalid assumption). There is no reason to celebrate being given fewer freedoms than one is due even if those fewer freedoms are sufficient for one’s immediate needs.
